Dr. Jeff MacLeod

General Practitioner with Special Interests in Sports and Exercise Medicine

Dr. Jeff MacLeod is an Australian-born, UK-trained General Practitioner with a passion for sports and exercise medicine. He earned his Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2006 and was awarded an honorary Fellowship for his outstanding contribution to general practice. Additionally, Dr. MacLeod received the John Fry Medal for developing the best medical practice in the British Army.

Since moving to Bermuda in 2019, Dr. MacLeod has been dedicated to improving chronic disease management and healthcare systems at a national level. He also volunteers medical support for the Bermuda Football Association, Bermuda Olympics Association, and other local sporting events. As a regular contributor to the Bermuda Sports Journal, he shares insights on sports health and injury prevention.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. MacLeod enjoys staying active through running and cycling, and is committed to helping his patients achieve their health and wellness goals.

Dr. Andrew Jamieson, MB ChB (Hons), BSc (Hons), PhD, MRCP (UK), FRCP Glasg, AFHEA
Consultant Endocrinologist and Internal Medicine Physician

Dr. Andrew Jamieson is a highly skilled Consultant Endocrinologist and Internal Medicine Physician with extensive international experience. Originally from Scotland, Dr. Jamieson completed his medical degree at the University of Glasgow, graduating as the Most Distinguished Graduate in Medicine. He then trained in Internal Medicine in both Glasgow and London and completed his specialist endocrinology training in Glasgow and at Cornell University in New York.

Dr. Jamieson holds a PhD in Genetics and has published widely on thyroid, adrenal, and parathyroid conditions, as well as diabetes, hypertension, and osteoporosis. He has particular expertise in managing diabetes, including the use of advanced technologies like Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems (CGMS) and insulin pumps (CSII). Additionally, Dr. Jamieson has unique experience in treating severe eating disorders and is a certified medical educator with numerous awards for teaching and research.

Dr. Louise White, BMBS, MSc
General Practitioner and Founder of The Family Practice Group

Dr. Louise White is a highly respected General Practitioner and co-founder of The Family Practice Group, which she established with two colleagues in 1993. A graduate of The Middlesex Hospital and University College School of Medicine (now UCH) in London, Dr. White has dedicated her career to providing compassionate, patient-centred care to families in Bermuda. Since its inception, she has been a full-time GP at the practice, building strong, long-term relationships with her patients and ensuring high-quality healthcare for all.

In 2020, Dr. White played a pivotal role in The Family Practice Group's partnership with Island Health Services, a move designed to strengthen the practice’s ability to provide stable and secure healthcare in the ever-evolving medical landscape. As she expressed at the time, “The only change ahead is that we will get better together.” Dr. White remains committed to leading the practice in delivering exceptional physician-led care to the community.

Kimberly-Davies

Dr. Kimberly Davies, BSc, MBBS, MRCGP

Dr. Kimberly Davies is a Bermudian General Practitioner and an alumna of Saltus Grammar School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, before moving to the UK to complete her medical degree at Newcastle University School of Medicine in 2014. After qualifying, Dr. Davies completed the Foundation Programme, followed by the GP Specialty Training Scheme, earning her Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in 2019.

Dr. Davies further honed her skills as part of the Career Start Fellowship Scheme with the Sunderland GP Alliance, gaining valuable experience in General Practice and Genitourinary Medicine. She worked as a GP in Sunderland before returning to Bermuda with her family in 2023 to join the Family Practice Group. Dr. Davies is committed to providing comprehensive general practice care to all her patients, bringing her international training and experience back home to serve the local community.

Dr. Esna Uppal, MBBS, BSc (Hons), MRCGP
General Practitioner with Special Interests in Women’s Health and Preventative Medicine

Dr. Esna Uppal is a skilled General Practitioner who earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, along with a First Class Degree in Maternal and Fetal Health, from King’s College London. During her studies, she was recognised by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists for her outstanding research. Dr. Uppal completed the three-year Vocational Training Scheme in London, becoming a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in 2018.

Before relocating to Bermuda in 2023, she practiced as a GP in a busy London clinic, where she developed a special interest in women’s health, including menopause and endometriosis, as well as dermatology, elderly care, and preventative lifestyle medicine. Dr. Uppal is passionate about holistic care and improving her patients’ overall wellbeing.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Uppal enjoys painting and spending time with her two young children. She is fluent in Urdu and Hindi.

Dr. Jasmin Caines
Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician

Dr. Jasmin Caines is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who has been practising in Bermuda since 2018. She initially provided acute inpatient care as a Hospitalist at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for four years before transitioning to outpatient care in 2022. As an Internal Medicine specialist, Dr. Caines offers comprehensive primary care and expertly manages patients with chronic illnesses and complex medical conditions.

Dr. Caines earned her undergraduate degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, before obtaining her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at New York University, where she gained extensive experience in critical care, primary care, and a range of sub-specialties including endocrinology, cardiology, neurology, and geriatric medicine.

Dr. Basil Wilson is a Bermudian-born, Mexican-trained physician with a focus on functional, regenerative, and integrative medicine. Dr. Carlton C. Jones is a seasoned Family Physician with extensive experience in primary care. Dr. Roddy Moore is a highly experienced General Practitioner with deep ties to the Bermuda community. He previously practised on the island from 1984 to 2000 and returned to the island after practising at the Waterfront Medical Centre in Wales. Dr. Moore joined Island Health Services at Point Finger Road, taking over from Dr. Robert Martin, who retired in 2018.

Dr. Heather Montgomery is a dedicated Family Physician with over 20 years of experience, including extensive practice in Bermuda between 1998 and 2012. In 2014, Dr. Montgomery rejoined the Bermuda healthcare community as part of Island Health Services and is based at 42 Point Finger Road .

Dr. Montgomery has a special interest in, but not limited to, adolescent health and care of the elderly, bringing compassion and expertise to help both young patients and our aging population navigate their unique health needs. Her approach centers on family-oriented care, aiming to build long-term relationships and support her patients’ overall wellness as they navigate their health in trying times.

Dr. Line Moulin
General Practitioner with International Experience in Family Medicine

Dr. Moulin is a Vietnamese-born, French-trained General Practitioner with extensive experience in family medicine. She completed her medical degree at the University of Nantes, followed by her GP specialty training at the University of Angers in 2015. Dr. Moulin began her career working as a family doctor in rural Northwestern France, where she developed a well-rounded skill set in managing a wide range of medical conditions.

In 2019, Dr. Moulin transitioned to the NHS in South East London, where she gained valuable experience serving a diverse population with complex healthcare needs. Dr. Adil Ladak, MRCGP, MFSEM

Dr. Ladak’s dedication to holistic care led him to further specialise in sports medicine, earning a Master’s degree in 2015 and serving as the club doctor for Chelsea Football Club from 2017 to 2023, including their Champions League victory in 2021. His expertise in preventing and managing sports injuries and optimising performance benefits athletes of all levels.

Dr. Amne Osseyran, BSc (Hons), PGCert, MSc, MBBS

Dr. Amne Osseyran is a Bermudian Family Physician and forensic expert whose career combines compassionate patient care with groundbreaking research. A high achiever from an early age, she earned her BSc (Hons) in Forensic Science from the University of East London, followed by an MSc in Forensic Medicine at Queen Mary College and an MBBS degree from the University of the West Indies.

Dr. Osseyran’s career began at Bermuda’s King Edward Memorial Hospital, where her pioneering research on non-invasive HPV testing in men received international recognition and was presented at the International Cancer Congress in Geneva. Her work in forensic medicine and pathology has made lasting contributions to public health in Bermuda.

Dr. George Gillen Shaw, BSc, MD, CFPC
Family Physician and Medical Director of Somerset Medical Practice

Dr. George Shaw is a highly experienced Family Physician who has been providing compassionate and comprehensive care to the Sandys community in Bermuda since 1980. A graduate of Dalhousie University School of Medicine in Nova Scotia, Canada, Dr. Shaw earned his medical degree in 1977 and became a Licentiate of The Medical Council of Canada the following year. He is also a Member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and holds certification in Family Medicine.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Shaw has served in various leadership roles, including President of Active Staff at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and Chairman of the Bermuda Medical Council. His contributions extend beyond clinical care, with involvement in road safety, public health initiatives, and community organisations such as the Bermuda Diabetes Association and Bermuda SmartRisk.
